A derive and adapt scientific and innovative ways to increase the production outcome while optimizing the processes in the functional sectors of Pharmaceuticals Manufacturing, Chemical Manufacturing and Food related industries is the trigger for PharmaDEM origination.

Experienced and Congruent professional from varied backgrounds such as Computers, Pharmaceuticals, Chemical Industries, Simulations, have envisaged the industrial challenges from multiple experimentations and iterative processes which were resulting in unproductive efforts, loss of time and loss of money.

An ideation of emulating the reality through simulations for solids & liquid and their behavior and understanding structural properties are practiced and implemented in various cycles in life cycle of development and production and witnessed the resulted are in agreement.


Thus PharmaDEM has established its competency in investigating at two steps:

  • Understand the formulation challenges through chemistry modelling which we look into molecular at atomistic level and mimic the behavior of molecules and determine optimized process through scientific and established models and tools.
  • Scale Up challenges are seen at microscopic level using DEM (Discrete Element Method a first principle physics based approach) and CFD (Computation Fluid Dynamics) to identify critical process parameters and material attributes. With this physics-based approach in combination with realistic characteristics of material, it is possible to identify the design space with optimum process parameters. Thus, the results help in reducing the risk of several flow related issues by predicting it upfront of proposed production route, and in eliminating several trial and error experiments.
